FIDDLER ON THE ROOF IS COMING TO HOUSTON!

Tickets go on sale, Friday, December 13th at 10:00am

Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center is proud to present the Houston engagement of the Tony Award®-nominated Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof at the Hobby Center from March 24 – 29, 2020. Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 13 at 11 a.m.

A beloved theatrical classic from Tony Award-winner Joseph Stein, and Pulitzer Prize- winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, Fiddler on the Roof is directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, The King and I); choreographed by the acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter; inspired by the original choreography of Jerome Robbins; and has musical direction by Ted Sperling.

iMAGICIAN BRINGS CUTTING EDGE MAGIC TO THE HOBBY CENTER

Enjoy Jamie Allan This Holiday Season, December 26-30, 2019

The producers of Jamie Allan’s iMagician, a show combining trickery and illusion with technology, are delighted to announce its Houston premiere at the Hobby Center’s Zilkha Hall for a limited engagement Dec. 26-30, 2019. Individual tickets start at $44.99 and are on sale now.

As the United Kingdom’s original “technology magician,” Allan and his team incorporate classic magic with cutting edge technology to create a unique theatrical experience. Allan’s use of high-powered laser beams, iPads, holograms, social media and drones “exceed[s] all expectations” (The Sun).

AN INTIMATE EVENING WITH SARAH MCLACHLAN

Playing the Hobby Center - February 6, 2020. Tickets on sale November 22

Sarah McLachlan is one of the most celebrated singer songwriters in entertainment with over 40 million albums sold worldwide. She has received three Grammy Awards and twelve Juno Awards over her career and was recently inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

In addition to her personal artistic efforts, McLachlan founded the Lilith Fair tour, which showcased female musicians and raised over $7 million for local and national charities. In 2002 McLachlan founded her non-profit organization, the Sarah McLachlan School of Music, which provides top quality music instruction at no cost, in a safe and nurturing environment, for at-risk and underserved children and youth. From an early age, music provided McLachlan with the tools she needed to navigate the challenges she faced in her life, so she recognizes how important it is for every child to have those same opportunities.

COME FROM AWAY PUBLIC ON SALE - FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 15

The Tony Award-Winning "Must See Musical" (NPR) plays March 3-8, 2020

Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center is thrilled to announce the national tour of COME FROM AWAY, a Broadway musical about the true story of the small town that welcomed the world, will make its Houston debut at the Hobby Center for a limited engagement March 3 - 8, 2020. COME FROM AWAYtickets will go on sale Friday, November 15.

The touring production of COME FROM AWAY will star Marika Aubrey (Lincoln Center’s South Pacific), Kevin Carolan (Disney’s Newsies), Harter Clingman (Peter and The Starcather), Nick Duckart (In the Heights), Chamblee Ferguson, Christine Toy Johnson (The Music Man), Julie Johnson (Memphis), James Earl Jones II (The Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess), Julia Knitel (Beautiful), Andrew Samonsky (South Pacific), Sharone Sayegh (The Band’s Visit),Danielle K. DEAR EVAN HANSEN ANNOUNCES $25 DIGITAL LOTTERY

First North American tour makes Houston debut at the Hobby Center

Described by the Los Angeles Times as a “cultural phenomenon,” Dear Evan Hansen comes to Houston’s Hobby Center November 12 - 24. Memorial Hermann Broadway at the Hobby Center and the production announced today that it will host a digital ticket lottery offering fans the chance to purchase a limited number of $25 tickets available for each performance.

The digital lottery will begin accepting entries 48 hours prior to the first performance in Houston and will be accepted until 9 a.m. local time the day before the performance. Fans who have been selected will be notified daily via email and can then purchase up to two (2) tickets at $25 each. The ticket lottery will continue on a rolling basis for every performance in the engagement. All entrants are encouraged to follow Dear Evan Hansen on Instagram (@dearevanhansen), Twitter (@dearevanhansen) and Facebook (@DearEvanHansen) for additional lottery news and information.

CURRENT PARKING AND TRAFFIC INFORMATION

Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your performance. Parking is available in the Hobby Center garage with entrances on Rusk and Walker Streets, along with valet service on Bagby Street. Valet and Hobby Center garage parking is subject to space and availability. Large attendance at various performances, coupled with other downtown activities, will create high demand, limiting access and there is a high probability of valet and/or self-parking reaching capacity and closing prior to the start time of a performance.

Memorial Drive is undergoing an extensive pavement rehabilitation project through April, 2020. Please be aware if you use Memorial Drive and plan your route accordingly

Overflow parking is available in the Theater District Garage beneath Tranquility Park (Entrance #2). Currently, elevators in the Tranquillity Garage are not available and the tunnel is scheduled to reopen in October.

For your safety and security, walk thru detectors will be in use and all bags are subject to inspection before entering the theater. Please allow extra time prior to your performance. Directed by two-time Tony® Award-winner Des McAnuff, JERSEY BOYS won the 2006 Tony® Award for Best Musical, the 2006 Grammy Award® for Best Musical Show Album, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, the 2010 Helpmann Award for Best Musical (Australia).
